A MOPHEAD & DOMINO MYSTERY
Breckenridge, Colorado, was an easy choice.
If you love the beauty and splendor of God's creation and you haven't been to Breckenridge, I highly recommend a visit. The majestic views of Peaks 6-10 from town are enough to take your breath away. We're not skiers so our visits are not to the town's famous slopes in the winter, but rather to the cool temperatures and mountain activities in the summer. Our favorite things to do? Hiking, fishing, relaxing on a balcony backing to a gurgling mountain stream, strolling through the historic town, and rides on the gondola.
During this past summer's visit to Breckenridge, I discovered the enormous windows in the Summit County Library where I wandered with my laptop one afternoon to write--just the inspiration I needed to complete the description of the story's fictional bookstore, The Cucumber Gulch. We also repeated favorite hikes to see the mining equipment left behind on Iowa Hill and to the sunken Reiling Dredge via the B&B Trail in French Gulch--important details in The Double Mystery of Cucumber Gulch.
I hope you'll enjoy this second book in the Mophead & Domino Mysteries. If so, you'll be happy to know I'm already brainstorming a third book featuring the inquisitive siblings. Setting? A fictional representation of our favorite family resort on the Lake of the Ozarks in central Missouri. We have a particular connection to Cabin #2.
